Ingrid was born April 9, 1920, in Gimdalen, Sweden, to Olaf and Hulda Erickson. She graduated from high school in Virginia, Minn. She went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She taught elementary school in Michigan, where she met her husband, Aaron Egge. They were married Aug. 23, 1946, in Duluth.

She taught school for the Duluth public schools for 20 plus years. She was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of Mary's Circle. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling

She was preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents; and brother Leslie Erickson.

She is survived by her sister, Sigrid Gabrielson; son Jerry and daughter-in-law Diane (Ekholm); daughter Denise and son-in-law Robert Kinderman; grandchildren Mark Egge, Jenny (Egge) McJunkin, Brian Egge and Ben Kinderman; and four great-grandchildren.
