IPhone Annoyances

From EggeWiki

Annoyances (which could be fixed via a software update)

  1. Calendar app doesn't allow you to flick through the calendar. It would make it much easier to go forward or back a month if you could flick through the calendar like you can photos.
  2. Contacts / Favorites doesn't show photos when browsing
  3. iPod doesn't have a [scroll wheel] to allow one to easily fast-forward or rewind a couple of minutes.
  4. Limited support for formatting Australian phone numbers. Eg, 133 713 is formatted as 1337 13.
  5. Coverflow always shows all covers. It should work like iTunes, where if your in a category or folder, it only shows the covers for that folder.
  6. No music videos available in iTunes. This seems like a no-brainer. YouTube videos stream just fine and you can watch purchased videos on the device. Buying videos should be easy as well.
  7. No downscaling HDTV. I download high def podcasts for my Apple TV, but I'd like the same video to sync to the iPhone and be viewable there as well.
  8. Auto-brightness doesn't work as well as my MBP. Ie., in the complete dark it should be darker, and in daylight it should be brighter.
  9. No S/MIME support

iPhone Tips

  1. When in mail, if you are viewing the list of messages in the folder, you can left swipe on a message and a 'delete' button will appear. Very useful for deleting spam messages.
