Note: Jens Egge was known until his death as a sincere and devout christian man, being converted in the year 1899, following several serious devine callings, particularly thru the death of his first three children. This caused Jens to understand that it was the Lord who was calling. After a period of reformation in which he failed, he finally found way to Calvary's cross, as a helpless sinner needing salvation by grace. This he received through the enlightenment of the Holy spirit and was thusmade happy. Since that time Mr. Egge has been actively engaged in church work. He had a particular passion for his own but also for others, both in the home as well as the foreign field. To the missionary cause he gathered and donated considerable money.
